A lot of writers here have such a problem. I've noticed it frequently - their grammatical and language use are typically quite aggravating, at least to me.

Good job, Laura - I really like how you've put everything so immensely clear-cut and blunt. You're frank - that's what I like.

I love when people do this sort of thing. I think it shows initiative and a takes a person with a real eye for writing to be so detailed orientated in informing people just what they need to improve on. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind looking at my book Keeper of the Mask. Although it is the second book in the series I had to take the first down due to it being in the process of being published. Just because I'm getting published does not mean I don't have major room for improval and I would love to have your honest imput on what I need to improve on.
Thanks Mimi

Awesome! I can't wait to check out what you post next. I think it's really great that you're taking the time to do this. (10 stars, no question. Haha) I hope that this continues to gain reads and attention, because you are right: No one's perfect, and in the end I'm sure everyone will be able to take something out of this and apply it to their own work.
Well, good luck with this! -And thanks!

vvv "WOPservation" = brilliant XD vvv

Fantastic idea. I believe I'm guilty of quite a few of these.
Thanks for commenting on my book, by the way (:
You know what would have been hilarious? If you called it "...sever years of WOPservation"

Wow. This is such a wonderful idea. I absolutely love it. I see these problems a lot, too (with both myself and others). It's strange how sometimes the brain (at least my brain) picks up on errors sometimes, but other times skips right over them. If only we could rewire our brains, that would never happen. Overall, this is really nice and helpful. I think you deserve 10 stars for going through the trouble of posting this just to help everyone else. Once again, this is a wonderful idea =D.

Another very helpful chapter. I have a few questions but I'll send you a message.

I wouldn't say everything is a cliche in the end...if i went skinny dipping in winter and drank hot cocoa in the summer, that would certainly not be cliche, lol. I think it's finding the right balance. Some cliches happen to be real- like the fact that girls dress up more than guys, and the fact that guys tend to have more muscle. But i think theres a difference between a fact of life and a man made concept.

You've inspired me. My wedding clothes shall now be my school uniform. I agree with the whole cliches thing, though they're kind of fun to read. Everything is a cliche in the end, isn't it?
I love the idea of listing down character features, though. I'm definately going to use it from now on.

Really looking forward to reading what else you've got...Your witty views and the way you see things really help with problems that authors on WOP face, and I'd love to read more!!

It's beautiful to the extreme, Laura - I think you should get your work published somehow. It's certainly something from which a lot of writers can learn from.

Helpful, straightforward, blunt, easily understood - I've detected nothing amiss from your excellent words and advice. I'll definitely rate your work as a 5-star masterpiece, for it holds such significance and strong emphasis on the messages you're conveying.

Good job; you've never failed to amaze me.
