Chapter 143
Autumn Rain

Autumn is for lovers loving
Hand in hand stroll down the lane,
Feel excitement's pulses pumping
Golden leaves in falling rain.
A rainbow in the mountain's lee
Soft secret things abound,
The gloriousness of Autumn leaves
When light rain sprinkles down.
A canopy of red and gold
Continues down the way,
A cathedral arch of Autumn-ness
Baptised in rain today.
Skipping through the wet leaves
Exulting in the joy
Of lovers thrill in Autumn
For this happy girl and boy.
Breezes turn to eddy
Billowed leaves do fly,
Cascading onto carpets
Of russet, gold and rye.
The lovers seek the fire side
For warming cups of tea
And memories of Autumn rain
In loving company.
