Deadly Passion
Author: Sylvia H. Mullins

Chapter 3
The classroom.

I enter school.

My mind is numb,

Friends pass me by.

Patting my back,

I just nod my head.

Nothing around me stands out,

I sit in class and begin to dream.

I'm sitting in my desk, only...

everyone around me,

is speaking my deepest insecurity's.

Your a twig, are you on drugs?

Your stupid.

You will never amount to anything.

Your just like your father.

You will never have a girlfriend.

As the last insecurity was spoke,

I look across the room at Sarah.

Her face showing that she agrees.

My heart sinks.

I reach into my pocket...

Pull out a gun,

Place it under my chin.

No one is alarmed.

After all, I'm only threatening my life.

A single life no one seems to care for.

I pull the trigger.

My lifeless body lays upon the floor.

No one motions until a halo of blood forms around my head.

Sarah runs close,

Screaming she was sorry.

Screaming she loved me.

Screaming why.

"Mr. Carter, can you tell me what we were just talking about"

Fuck, he caught on.

"Uh...sure.... We were just talking about how boring this class is."

"Principles office. Now."

No hesitation,

It wasn't worth the fight,

So what if I got a detention.

I was dead soon anyway.
