Chapter 8
waiting for kyle

Kyle dropped me off at my house. He said he would come back latter with my homework assignments, after he finishes school.

When he left I noticed a unfamiliar rusted Chevy silver truck sitting in the driveway.

I started walking towards the house.

I slipped on a melting patch of ice. There goes my cycle again.

When I got up, I thought I hadn’t lost my dignity because no one was watching. But then I saw a face at the window.

A guy with shaggy black hair, ran out the door. He walked over to me, and his lucky self didn’t slip on the ice.

“Are you alright, Samantha?” he asked.

How does he know my name? who the heck is he?

“Um…” how do I answer?

He looked at me like your-wasting-my-time!

What are you doing in my house?” I asked without answering. Smart...Huh?

“Your parents may have mentioned me. I do landscaping.”

“Oh…ok. My name is Samantha liziote, but obviously you already know that.”

His hair was dark black. He looked muscular, and built. His eyes were deep hazel, and hypnotizing. His smile was floppy, but oh so cute.

He looked at his silver watch, then back at me. “Aren’t you appose to be in school?”

“now you sound like my parents, the one’s you’re not going to tell.” I put my hands on my hips. “or else!”

He laughs, like I’m joking. “Or else.” His voice echoes my words.

I flip my hair to the side. I walk past him. By his footsteps I can tell that he’s following me into the house.

Inside everything is the same except for the millions of rulers laying around.

“What are they doing in here?” he shrugs and smiles. “Ok. My boyfriend will be coming…” I check my watch. “…around two hours. Then my sister.” I let him know, and then I walk to my room.

"I'm Josua by the way!" he called out to me quickly, before i shut the door.

Since I didn’t have any homework assignments I turned on my computer.

I didn’t feel like waiting, and waiting for the internet to load, so I played pinball.

I heard a knock at my door. Knock…knock…knock….

My gut for some reason told me not to open it. But stupid me did anyways…
