Chapter 7
Who are you?

When I wake up, my head feels like it's going to explode. Someone is carrying me. I carefully look up. I'm afraid of what I'll see. Leon smiles down at me. He he's too out of breath to talk. He's obviously been running. Long and hard. "Wh-wh-wha, where's Jordan?" I ask. "Jordan?" he presses his lips together and stops running. "Is Jordan the Meteamorph?" he asks. "Yes. He's my friend." I inform him. His mouth pops open. "You make interesting friends." he forces a smile. "I guess so...."  My brain clears up and I slap my face. "What? No!" I yell. I leap out of  Leon's arms and come crashing to the floor. I wince, feeling the full extent of the pain in my scratched ankle. "Jordan is not a Metamerph! He's my friend!" I protest. "Is Jordan the one who pretended to be me?" he asks. I shy away from Leon. "I don't knwo what a Meta-something is, and I don't know what you mean by pretended to be you, but I do know Jordan is my friend." I say firmly. "You're wrong." Leon says softly. I let out a "Hmpf!" and turn around. "Telling someone they're wrong when you're trying to get them on your side isn't the best tatic," I say. "And anyway-" Leon cuts me off. "For god's sake! Your friend is a Meteamorph! That means, he has the ability to change into anybody he pleases. As long as he's seen them." he yells. "No-" Leon cuts me off again. "I met you in the woods, invited you over to my house, you left, my mom came home, we went out to eat, I feel a tug at my gut, I race back home, somebody is pretending to be me, he changes back into himself, attacks you, I kick him while you black out or something, then I scoop you up and start to run away!" he yells, waving his arms around in the air.  I turn back around to stare. "Want to talk to him." I say. "What?" Leon yells. "No! Never!" I turn back around. "Then I'll stay here until I get wrinkles." Leon sighs exasperatedly, "I carry you all the way over here and now you want me carry you back?" he asks incredulously. "I can walk." I say. "But I'm going whether you like it or not." He sighs heavily. "Then let's go." he groans.

After hours of crashing into trees, scraping and brusing both my self and Leon, tripping, and hitting myself in the face, we finally reach civilization. My eyes dart around to see if Jordan is here. Nope. I turn around and motion for Leon to follow. He does, reluctantly. I don't walk to Jordan's house, but instead, to the forest. And there he is. I can see his silhoutte, slumped over. I walk over to him, the leaves crunching underneath my feet. I can hear Leon curse. Jordan turns around at the sound of my feet, surprised. "Charlie?" he squints. I put an arm on my hip, and try to appear brave. "Who are you?" I ask.
