Chapter 16

Jonah was waiting for me when I got back from the bathroom. He looked really stressed out and worried about something.

"What's up, honey?" I kissed him on the cheek.

"Nothing," He shook his head, his black hair covering his eyes. He pushed it away with a shaking hand.

"Don't be scared to tell me. I won't get mad, I promise," I said, putting my arm around him and giving him a hug.

"I haven't done anything," He said. "Nothings wrong."

"Don't, Jonah. You look like you've just seen a ghost," I said. "If we want our relationship to work, we can't keep secrets from one another."

"I er... I've just talked to Elliot. Cory. One of the boys I used to... work with," He said. "He's down here for the weekend visiting his sick aunt."

"Oh." Well. Wasn't expecting that one.

"He said... he said Blain's doing his nut trying to find me," Jonah looked at me. "I'm scared, Lukey bear."

"Don't be," I stroked his hair. He rested his head on my shoulder. I kissed the top of his head. "Let's go home, eh?"

"D'you mind if we do?"

"Not at all, my darling," I gave him a squeeze and he looked at me.

"We can have just as much fun at home, if you like," He winked.

"Seriously? Are you sure you're ready for that?"

"With you? Of course," He snuggled up to me. "I know we've only been going out for a day, but... I love you, Luke."

"I love you too," I kissed his forehead then took his hand and led him home.

It was awkward at first, doing what we were doing. I'd never done it with a guy before. Jonah kind of talked me though it beforehand and I got the basics. It was difficult to get it right at first, but eventually we got going in a kind of rythym.

We cuddled together when we were done. Jonah smiled. "That was amazing, babe. Thank you," He kissed me gently on the corner of my mouth.

"No problem, honey bear," I replied, snuggling up to him. I stroked his arm gently.

"I love you." He kissed me.

"Love you too," I tickled him gently. "Now come on, sweetie, let's get some sleep, eh?"

"Okay then, tiger," He smiled. "Night."

"Night," I kissed his forehead, then watched him fall asleep in my arms.

Jonah woke me in the morning with a cup of coffee. He'd evidently had a shower; his hair was damp and he smelled newly clean. He smiled as he sat down beside me. "Morning, gorgeous," He said. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."

"It's fine," I smiled. "How long have you been up?"

"About two hours," He said, bouncing on the edge of the bed. "I've been for a walk, tidied the flat and had a shower. Did you want me to wake you?"

"No, it's fine, sweetie pie," I told him, taking one coffee cup from him. He snuggled beside me while we drank our coffee together.
