I Say Essay
Author: Busy Bubbles

Chapter 2
Oh Why!?

They think they are so high,

They act so sly,

Hurting us with the heightened taxes!

Oh why!?

They find it fun,

To run in the sun,

While we work in the mud and dust all day,

Why don’t we get a choice?

Give us a voice!

Oh why!?

Our children lack,

Where yours do succeed,

Would it hurt to let then learn?

Why do you make us burn in anger?

Oh why!?

Oh why is this to be,

Do you enjoy our suffering?

Hear us now oh king,

We are going to end our suffering!

And make you say,

Oh why!?

And so we made you weep,

When we took the Bastille.

We are done being your sheep!

Oh Why!?

Do ye ask?

For we have our papers,

They are nice,

They make every body pay,

Not just those who they thought were low,

But all,

Even those who thought the were as cool as ice,

They weren’t very nice,

So we are making them say,

Oh Why!?

Now we have our way,

We have made you pay,

If you start not to listen,

Your blood will glisten,

After you meet the guillotine,

And before you go,

You may want to know,

Oh Why!?
