Thinking about my ex, Kellsie, and us falling apart. Now all but a

I held you for all
The things you hated
About yourself.

Although life chose
To keep pushing you,
I pushed back for you.

Sometimes, though,
You were still scared.
And I held onto you.

I still remember
When you would call
And you were crying.

How I fought
Away your tears,
You would smile.

Though you're not
With me anymore,
I still smile.

The days we shared,
Nights all but forgotten,
They help me live today.
