Dear God, Help Me
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 22
My Puppet

My eyes are bleeding,
Are you laughing?
Are you laughing?
Why are you crying?

Poke him with sticks,
He's the jester,
Pulling your strings
Until you scream!

Oh! How it's horrible!
Dance monkey, dance!
It's so horrible!
My eyes are bleeding!

Do you feel the steam?
Are you laughing?
Are you laughing?
Why are you crying?

Is that a frown, I see?
Creeping down your face
Why are you hiding?
I'm ready to leave!

I can't see you.
Who is with you?
So this is it
I'm ready to leave!

Still you follow,
Out, dim candle!
Extinguish your might
This isn't my life!

My eyes are bleeding,
Are you laughing?
Are you laughing?
Why are you crying?

I see the red streaks
There's your face
Taunting me again
Now the paint is still.

Darling I love your hate,
Your canvas so unclean,
Are you still running from me?
Visions can't run away!

Somehow you're still here
I've found another weapon
Is that you I hear?
Your voice, my dear?

My eyes are bleeding,
Are you laughing?
Are you laughing?
Where did you go?
