Dear God, Help Me

Chapter 10
Memory Of Someone As Bad As Me

This poem is about wanting to be forgotten. Wanting everyone to forget you. I had just finished talking to the popular girl, who still continues to try and get me back. I don't want her, but I do. I can't date again, not after everything. She keeps trying to get me to say yes, but I can't. I keep telling her she deserves better, move on. Why is it so hard for people to forget me?

"Memory Of Someone As Bad As Me"

If you learn to forget all about me,
I'm sure you would be happy.
Look over there, there she stays.
She is the one with my heart,
And she has forgotten all my pain,
She has forgotten about me,
Because it was easy enough for her.
And you could do it easily, too.
But if it were just me and you, let's
Make one promise, just for kicks.
I promise, if it were just me and you,
I would give it my all, my best,
Because you'd deserve so much better.
Nobody deserves to be haunted
With the memory of someone as bad as me.
