Chapter 110

Moments span a lifetime

When crisis magnifies

Each panicked second lasts an hour

And the vacuum here implies

It’s vanished into nothingness,

Not the slightest sign of life

Throwing torture to the moment

And red horror to the sight.

There’s a vortex in the instant,

It’s a moments frozen time

Where this poor soul’s tomorrows

Are balanced on the line.

Being teeters on the knife edge

And can’t make up it’s mind

To plunge into oblivion

Or claw back into time.

Warmth retracts to coldness

Alabaster turns the brow,

Sightless eyes are open wide

And bloodless lips go sour.

There’s no evidence of life, my friend,

The creeping dread doth grow

That the unfortunate before you

Has not another day to know.
