Dear God, Help Me
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 4
Biographical Change

As I typed a lengthy message to the only girl I will ever truly love, explaining the misdeeds I had done, I thought of the words "One final biographical change in my life, I guess." This evolved into another poem rapidly. Poems give no release to my pain, however. And it takes a great deal out of me to remember writing this.

"Biographical Change"

One final biographical change,
To this loner's cold heart.
Someone from below must
Have been watching over me.
Should I just wander to the
Darkness behind the moon?
I've been star-gazing for
Much too long and I
Think it's time to hang my cape.
I never really deserved it.
And this has been how I cope.
How can I handle all of this?
