Dear God, Help Me
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 2
How Appropriate

Leaving someone is never an easy thing. When you leave someone who is a city away, it's even harder. I couldn't walk down to her house and tell her it was over, and I definitely couldn't have someone drive me just for me to dump someone. So I had to do this through text. When I delivered the messages, she was quick to respond. Her comments consisted of suicide and cutting threats, but I brushed them aside. Today I am still plagued by these comments and still feel cold for brushing them aside. But, it had to be done. I hope you can relate to the feeling portrayed in this poem, and I hope that you can see "How Appropriate" this poem is.

"How Appropriate"

I feel very cold,
How appropriate.
Sealed my fate,
I'm so sorry.
I do hope you
Can forgive me.
Even when I
Don't deserve it.
I feel dead,
How appropriate.
