Chapter 118
Times Change

Times are changing, every day in every way,
You see these kids yelling at their parents,
"Get away! Go away!" But the times always
Seem to change. Way back when we were kids,
You remember how just talking back coulda
Gotten you in a week of hell, but now we
Got kids fist fighting, parents giving beatings,
Morales are changed and lives are wrecked.
Trying to talk to each other never seems normal,
When you cry, they just ignore you and,
Tell you to shut up, they don't care.
And when you storm out the room with
Black streaks going down your face because
They won't care about your pain, they seem to
Just ignore it all, but you don't see the
Troubled expressions as you leave.
Running away just seems like the only way,
And when you're out, when you're gone,
You feel no sorrow but I wonder if you
See their faces as you run. Their twisted, mangled,
Knotted faces as they try not to hate themselves,
Not to hurt themselves because they realize,
Worst of all, that they've broken you.
