Poetry From The Weakened Soul
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 99
Can You Forgive Me?

What I hate most
Is that I can't seem
To let go of you.
You have my heart.

And I can't take it back.
No matter how hard I try,
I just can't move on.
You've taken everything from me.

You can't give it back,
I won't let you.
You've taken my heart,
My soul, my love, and my life.

None were good enough, I guess.
But you have them all, nonetheless.
Can you tell me why, I glance over,
See your face again, suddenly

I realize, I've lost you.
And I can't help but cry.
I can't be your everything,
And I can't be your one and only.

So I guess this is all that's left.
Just one question left:
Can you ever forgive me?
