Poetry From The Weakened Soul

Chapter 93
Shadows In The Dark

As your hands slowly grip my throat
This pain just takes hold and burns
Into my lungs, the pain's just so cold
Like the frosted winds of Hell

The snow plummets against my face
I'm looking up this bottomless pit
All my lies have been hidden forever
Sealed into the jar that mustn't be

Hiding in the dark, screams the beast
Left alone, in the bleakest of nights
Running scared, my shadow keeps me company
Because we both know, you're not alone

How can I rest so soundly
When I know that you're
Laying by another, embraced in his arms
As my scream from the acid I've gripped

I am a poison, piercing through your soul
How did you escape my death release?
Come back, please, I need to suck you in
Take your life like I used to, like I wish I still could
