Chapter 69
Another Beer To Drown In

She left me out here
To die in the cold
There's no love left
And I can't move on

Her face brings back
Angry memories and pain
But she doesn't care
You don't care at all

Would you hold me?
The way you used to?
And make me smile
Feel so warm inside

No, I don't think
You have that anymore
You're a beast
Wish I could put you down

It hurts everywhere
To listen to you
My chest sinks
Upon seeing your face

These memories that you
So carelessly left here
Take them away, please
Because all of them hurt me

Hurt, pain, love
They all fit together
In your jigsaw puzzle
You've got nothing left

How's the new guy, by the way?
Does he love you like me?
Does he hold you like I did?
I hope not, I hope you miss me

I bet you miss me, too but maybe
That's just wishful thinking, on my part
But, if you do miss me, just know
Baby girl, you're the best thing that left me

I don't need you, not at all
You made me happy
But the pain does just fine
It's kind of comforting

If it were up to me, I'd of hurt you
Yeah, that would've been best
But maybe it's just better for me
To be burried in my own sorrows

As I drown all my pain in
This stinking liquid,
I can only say aloud,
"Bartender: another beer, please."
