Poetry From The Weakened Soul
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 64
Not Meant To Be

We climb a little higher
I'm losing more ground
Cover me, if you want
I'll wallow in your words
But none of this is for you

I remember, years ago
When we used to laugh
And have more fun
Because, you know,
This world has turned to shit

And I need to say
That I'm actually sorry
But we know
This love was
Just not meant to be
