Poetry From The Weakened Soul

Chapter 52
Dead Stop

I wish I could see
Just a bit farther than
I always seem to perceive
Oh it's getting harder...

Sometimes my words go a little faster
I can't seem to control my mouth anymore

As my breath quickens
My pace begins to slow
Nothing makes me feel
More alone than your company

As the lies unfold inside of my my eyes melt down
My heart races and chases into another dead stop
