Poetry From The Weakened Soul
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 42
Poem For You

You always tell me how I
Was the one who fixed you
But, guess you never knew
I was always broken without you
Once a day I had the urge
To just lock myself away
To conceal my emotions
But you bring out the love in me

It must seem awkward, to you
The way I just kinda, well I
I just can't express how much
That I love everything about you
Every time I hear your voice
My heart skips a beat
Maybe it skips two, I lost count
And this sudden rush fills me

Baby, you fulfill me
There's nothing like you
No drug over the counter
And there's no feeling like you
You're the best thing I've had
Best thing I'll ever have
I just hope you understand that
As distant as I seem, I love you
