Poetry From The Weakened Soul
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 2
Phone Call: Part II

Just when I feel like I'm crushed
You smack me hard in the face
And bring me into more tears
I know I want to be with you
But I gotta let you go, because
Your happiness is always number one
But then you throw me a curved ball
You tell me you want to marry me
How could this be?
Just a moment ago you crushed me
Broke my heart and made me cry
How can it be that I still want you?
I still love you
I need you, you're so much to me
And it's true, I would wait forever
Even if you left me for him
But suddenly
You tell me
You want to be with me
That I made you fall in love with me
Can I really able to do that
Or is this another empty lie?
I can't tell anymore
And is it so wrong that I just don't care either way
I ask myself will I hurt again?
And still I don't care either way
You can hurt me all you want
'Cause I'm yours, baby
