Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 195
Angel Tears

Angels can only cry bloody tears
Your eyes scare me the most
The river runs away with your sympathy
Bleeding wounds shuffled from your neck

Feel the tears from the velvet statue
Coursing down your innocent cheeks
Let me lick your pain away
Replace it with a new found vengeance

Could you cure the fire's sickness?
Or will you let it burn again?
Cold, you fight the electric serpent
Fighting for your blackened heart

I'm always a date too late for you to see
And considering your breathless emotions
I think you can let me be me
Before it's too late to imagine your regret

I make another scar on my chest
Numb your nerves you start to quiver
I know you're scared now and then
This will end with more angel tears
