Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 163
Never Go Away

Not even the best metaphor
Can explain this pain
You don't know how I try
Try to be happy, but I'm dragged down

It's like someone's taken a machete
Stabbed it up into my heart
Something from a horror movie
But it hurts worse than a psychopath

The way this pain feels
It's emptiness, and loneliness
Every time I glance backwards
I see you happy, and I just scream

I wanna throw a damn fist
Smash and break everything there is
Destruction is my only way of healing
But this pain just never goes away
