Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 149
Life Goes On

Snow pelted against the ground
He had fallen, without a sound
If God were giving, he would've lived
Instead an overdose took him away
Fourteen years, to the day
I still wonder, every night
What would it be like, if it never happened?
How much different would life be?
His death brought devastation to so many
Now his soul rests above our heads
And as some parting words, she left me
"Tomorrow, the sun will still rise
Tomorrow, the sun will still set
No matters how much it hurts
Life will always go on"
No truer words have or will ever be spoken
