the world within me
Author: Ella

Chapter 84

I flipped through the pages glancing

And a poem caught my eye

The words meandered through my mind

Words I cannot deny

The pages silky and smooth

The words printed in black

They were but alphabets of each

I could not turn my back

First love I read the title

My heart raced a little faster

It leapt as I continued

I thought it’d be disaster

Beautiful poem sweet and dear

The words I wrote touched my heart

It filled my mind with wonders

The beauty of each part

Each stanza bleeds through my veins

Each line blurs in recognition

That somehow those words will repeat

And make it better preparation
