Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 104
Day One Away (8): Scene Inside

August 30, 2010

I can't stop writing in verse

Oh shit, I hate this curse

I write these short poems

I don't even get a chance to rehearse

My words spill out of my brain

I could be declared legally insnae

All night, every single day

You run through my head in crimson rays

While you're gone

When I'm screaming

As you're so far away

Promise me you won't

Promise you can't forget

Your tears drench

Your pillow

You can't sleep

Can't even breathe deep

I'm here I'll always be here

I cry with you

Too damn good at hiding it

You'll never know
