Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 74
She's Here

Another poem for someone. She knows who she is. WRITTEN IN A NOTEBOOK, WRITTEN AT SCHOOL Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Time slips by, waiting to see you

Boredom strikes

Not even daydreams comfort me

So I write

I'm stuck in a hellhole

Fighting with all my might

But there is no light

At the end of this tunnel

Nobody knows my name

That's good

Nobody knows what I write

Some occasional glances, though

So confused am I

Like a mouse, caught on paper of the fly

Struggling desperately, I cry

Why can't I just die?

Then I think of her

My cries end and I smile

Everything's fine as long as

She's Here
