Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 53
What Friends Are For

Letting the music blast from my speakers, I wrote this poem. The music wasn't exactly of the cultured variety, but it has a deep meaning, behind all the swears. Friends are there, they don't care what condition you're end, they're there. They won't leave you in your time of need. God how I wish I hadn't lost a friend because I wouldn't believe him. He helped me write "Your Starry Eyes" and if he ever decides to read this: I'm here for you, man, I know I screwed up, I know I hurt you. Hopefully you'll accept my apologies. WRITTEN IN A NOTEBOOK Friday August 20th, 2010

Walk the streets, the world

Accepted, no longer alone

Make me happy, make me fulfilled

You're there for me, I'll take a bullet for you

I don't want to die anymore

I got you, and the rest of my friends

Tougher than any gang,

Stronger than any man

All for one

You're not there for me,

Just know

Now and forever

I'm here for you, and all the rest

Because that's what I'm here for

What friends are for
