Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 41
Poem 40

The love of your life dies, what's left to live for? August 10th, 2010 This is poem number forty, and so, as a little present to myself, I didn't give it a name. Instead, this is simply Poem 40. I think I'm starting to advance, get better, ect.

I have to take a moment just to say, I wouldn't be writing if my friends didn't give me so much hope, saying I was good at writing. I have to thank my girlfriend, whom I love with everything I am. I love you all, readers, friends, fans (what fans? Ha!) and, of course, my Aphrodite. Without any of you, I would have never gotten past "Cold Water"

Hello good lord, from heavens above

Did you see a friend pass by through here?

She might have been alone, wandering

I was supposed to be there for her

Hello good lord, from heavens above

Still no sign of my friend? I'm worried about her

She has these eyes you can't miss

They hold beauty itself in them

Hello lord, from heavens above

I'm starting to get a bit angry at you,

Have you been searching for my friend?

It's impossible to miss her

Hello being, from the heavens above

What did I do to you to deserve this pain?

You're really starting to piss me off

Just find my friend, I can't lose her

Hello asshole from the sky

You think you're so high and mighty

So all powerful, you're not

You can't even find a single girl

Hello mutt from the abyss

I'm tired of the bullshit, just give her back

I came all this way just to see her

And you can't even find the best girl there is

Hello good Lord, from the heavens above

I'm sorry I was rude, but my friend, she means a lot

I just want to see her for a bit

That's all, that's all I wanted

Hello shitty August sky above,

We've been friends for a while,

I finally realize what you meant by

"You'll never see her again"
