Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 40

So we come here again, my friends. This chapter is new, a bit better, I might say. I like this poem. Finished Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Crackle and tassel
The fire keeps going
And they're all panicking

In the land of the sight
I have chosen to be blind
In the land of the light
I have chosen to be dark

Sometimes the blind
Can see more than those
Blessed with sight

Sometimes in the dark
We feel more, we see more
Then we do in the light

Sometimes it's better to be blind
Sometimes it's better to be dark
Because then you see
The world a new
And only then, can you ever see
What is actually true
