Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 28

I'm really scared,
The paranoia's sinking in
What am I going to do?
I can't let anybody hurt you
Not even yourself
Give me a phone
Give me a number
Let me help
Please come back
Just for a minute
I'll do anything
I can't let you go
I don't know if I'll last
I've got about two minutes
Before I spill my brains
I don't care
If it means I'll see you
So be it
Because my heart's burning
Like a cigarette
It stopped pumping
Is that your voice I hear
Or is it mine,
Altered and distorted by tears
All my sanity is gone
I'm filled with fears
It hurts so fucking bad
Please keep me alive
I can't breathe, help me!
