Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 26
Can I Kiss?

This poem is for someone special. Someone I couldn't live without. I'm falling again. Oh, God, save me from this fall! Anyway, I'm not sure if she'll see it on here, but I don't care, I wrote it for her and her alone. It was completed between 1:45 PM and 1:47 PM on July 30th, 2010 and I call it: Can I Kiss?

Scarlet embers
Surrounding beauty
Milky sapphire gems
Hiding an abyss
I am lost there
I don't want to be found
Angel's stare
It pierces my soul
I lean in to kiss
Don't burn me, embers
Don't find me, world
I want to be lost
