Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 17

I think this poem tells the entire story of how I feel. Yesterday I was feeling amazing, and there was nothing that could bring me down. Today, everything is wrong, hence, I called this poem: Today

I'm still breathing, today
My heart's broken, today
I want to hurt myself, today
Now I don't want to feel, today
Can you make me numb, today?
Would you give me a kiss, today?
Before you leave, can I see you, today?
I wonder, do you think we can talk, today?
And do you think you will stay with me, today?
Never mind, I see that you've finally left me, today.
