Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 13
The Rock The Tree And Me

An older poem that took about as much time as the previous two. I can't recall the exact day I wrote this one. Only that it was in July. I call it: The Rock, The Tree And Me

I'm stuck in between the three
The rock, the tree and me
The rock looks clean and loyal
The tree looks beautiful and young
I look like the biggest fool
So I say eeney meeney miny
but which of the three is moe?

Then I see you
My eyes can't leave
My heart's sold
But my body's cold
Will you be my flame?
Will you end my pain?
Please say yes
Don't say no
