Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 12
Rose of Black

Written in the early hours of July 19th, 2010, this is another poem for the one I am nearly sure I love. In this poem I have given the name of Aphrodite; goddess of love, goddess of beauty. And, truly, this is what she is. She is beauty, and she is love. Well, I could go on for days and days to come. This poem is named after this first line: Rose of Black

The rose of black

Called ugly and fat

Always told to scat

Wait and see

Because to me

You're Aphrodite,

Goddess of beauty
Goddess of love
