the world within me

Chapter 18
Painting and Practicing

Painting and practicing

The brushes that I hold tight

The picture fills my mind

Each wet stroke of the paint brush

From dry and thick to fine

An animal perhaps I’d paint

Or maybe just a girl

A beauty on a carriage

Or the nature of this world

Painting can bring to life

Anything you deem

And trap each memory on paper

As lifeless as it seems

Sometimes it looks so hard

To see the artist draw

Each line in perfect place

Just like the lines before

But when you place your hands

With brush upon the paper

The strokes come magically

And the interest doesn’t waver

Don’t hold on too stiff

Or rigid works of art

Just lift and paint

The music of your heart

Every piece of painting

Is just like a song

Except it doesn’t have to be perfect

Painting can never go wrong

this rhyme is about my interest-art and why i enjoy it so much
