Who you are in Christ

Chapter 5
Victory of the mind

Imagine saying “Mountain, be thou removed.” and seeing the mountain

move over a mile or two!!!  That’s what Jesus teaches about

in regards to the power of the spoken word.  He taught that if we believe

and confess it with our mouths it becomes real.

“Give something a name and it will become a reality”

There’s no need to believe the negative words that were spoken about you when you

were growing up.  Even though they may seem true, they are not.

“There is power in our words“

Gods thoughts are not anywhere like ours.

We’ve been conditioned to think and believe

what has been placed into our minds by other people in many ways.

For example you start a new job and the person  who is showing you around

tells you that the Manager is a really hard person to deal with.

Whether that’s true or not, you might approach the Manager

with trepidation and caution.  You may not give the Manager the

chance to show you whether they are easy to deal with or not.

It’s called a “Pre-conceived notion but the Lord instructs us not to speak in

this way.  The Lord asks that we…

“Use words to encourage and edify people.”
