Ride at Twilight
Author: Zoey Balderston

Chapter 32

We landed on something cold, hard, and smooth. Three something’s actually. By the texture of them, I’d bet my life they were either vampires, or moving rocks. The three stood up and threw our tangled mess at least a hundred feet into a small clearing. Amazingly, we didn’t hit a single tree. I heard them run into the clearing and something else running in from the opposite direction. They must have heard it too because they staggered back a few steps then high-tailed it out of hearing range.
