Chapter 4
Final Breath

The agony derived from the recoil of frost gnawing the warmth sustaining his deteriorating fingers occupies only but a mere fraction of the final dying thoughts of this traveler whom now sits propped amongst enclosed embracing branches and lays in their offspring under the looming guardian; In reciprocation to the guardians solace the traveler reluctantly accepts the emotional comfort found in the human touch the pine tree's skin unconditionally offers and releases his final breath against the un-phased sturdy pine towering amongst the un-orchestrated frenzied snow storm rifling the woods of its otherwise enchanting mystic nature.
