Chapter 14
Wolves on the Horizon

Brooke and Shawn and the cats walked for a day straight before reaching somewhere sutible for setting up camp for the night. They followed the river because Shawn thought that it might lead to a lake or another main water source. Lucky for them the water was fresh and came with alot of fish to help them survive.

 

When the sun started to set Shawn walked over to Brooke, who was setting up tents. "Theres wolves on the horizon" he whispered to her. Brooke smiled and followed him into the bushes, "guard the camp" she told Shadow. Shawn walked her out to the place he had been collecting sticks for a camp fire. Brooke saw them, a large gray and white wolf was sitting next to a pure white wolf. There were three little pups running around there legs.  One was white, one gray, and the other was pure black.

 

"They're beautiful", Brooke said stareing at the pups and their parents. Someday Brooke hoped that she could see one up close, but she didn't know that soon, she would.....
