The Only Exeption
Author: Hannah Rumson

Chapter 7

But hey, we all have to keep on looking forward in life and focus on the present, not the past. And to make choices now to make the future even better. (Another thing the fortune teller told me!) So now I am left wondering who my only exception is.
It could even be my friend Darcy. I have known her for about 2 years now and we are close friends. We always go to the cinema together and watch a wide range of different films- action to romance, sci-fi to comedy. And the majority of the time we will visit the local American diner and get a massive chocolate milkshake each. It is fun to get out of the house. We also sit together in Spanish and most of the time we just talk about random stuff then the teacher comes over and we pretend to know what’s going on. We have a couple of long-lasting inside jokes which we will most likely mention every time we see each other. Like, if you’re reading this Darcy- You’re still my good sport ;) (The Great Gatsby) and “Have you fed the cat today?... Don’t tell me you killed her!” There is also the added bonus that we have never argued over anything (Touch Wood!) and we have lots of laughs.
