Lost and Surfacing

Chapter 82

I'm out of the black, murky water
In the daylight
Where I see clearly
Words etched on my skin

A fantasy of my own
They slide down my arms
Around my wrists
Gliding of my fingers
To my face
And in my eyes
I recognize these petty phrases
Written in gold
Inside of me
