The Only Exeption
Author: Hannah Rumson

Chapter 5

Jess is awesome. Mainly because we can understand each other. We are quite alike and she ticks all the boxes for the description. We can trust each other and help each other and she is a rare character. But, how could I ever tell her that she might well be my only exception at this point of my life? I cannot just tell her- she will think Iím crazy...but will believe it. It would be easier to tell her as I told her the truth about me from the word go. Some of my other friendships had been made and based on lies- but not this one. I think this is why we get on well- there are no lies. And this is good for me. She likes it especially when I write her letters giving her advice about life, itís now our thing. Thatís because we like old fashioned stuff like letters, TV shows like: Downtown Abbey, Mr Selfridge, The Paradise. Movies/books like Pride and Prejudice and so on. (We also love Warm Bodies!) We can also have a laugh. Since being with her, I donít think I have laughed so much. I think right now, I would be lost without her.
