Lost and Surfacing

Chapter 37

My throat burns as something hot slides down
Hot saliva
A rush of sadness to my brain
Tears forming like rain in the clouds
Slicing open my eyelids
And my hands jerk slightly
As if startled
They are startled
Staring into nothing but mist
And then it begins
A story unfolds before me
The same each time
And I begin whispering...
"Don't touch me, please. Don't touch me."
But only in my mind
My body curls in on itself
Spasms violently and rolls on the floor
No one can reach me now
I've traveled back in time
I'm long gone, 2013.
Hello, 2004.
Hello, June.
Hello, Emma.
Hello little four year old.
You're so close to five, now.

"Go get mommy, Emma. Don't say yes please. Don't say yes whatever you do. Get help now." I tell her.
She doesn't listen... she never does

"Yes, okay."

But she's not talking to me...
