Chapter 11
The Web

A glistening silky web shimmers as divinely as crystal
And so remarkably beautiful, a spider, dark purple and black as twilight
Twirls about, as if a ballerina, suspended by the sturdy thread

The gleaming, intricate web, basking in glorious, golden sunlight
Hung amid two oaks, swaying gracefully to the wind’s lullaby,
Which sings of serenity and peace among all creatures

Magnificent, white flowers site beneath the spider’s home
Flaunting their breathtaking, blue baby’s breath
Proudly, perched toward the yellow sun and its radiance

A staggering mountain range, starched across the horizon
Peeks through the little spaces in the web, powerful and almighty
Yet faded as the corner sight, a luscious green color

In the oak trees, a blood red robin chirps a bittersweet melody
Proud of its sweet talent, puffing its chest up in a charming manner
Watches intently as the spider web sways…
