the world within me
Author: Ella

Chapter 100

The fear I know that drives my life
The insecurities
But where do I place my trust
In all the uncertainties

The fear that makes me who I am
That makes me do all I do
The fear that keeps me from doing the things
That I know with my heart are true

The fear that makes us all slaves
To build out lives upon
Something I consider
As beautiful as dawn

But sunlight breaking through each day
Is my weak way to cope
And when the idols fall before my eyes
Iím crushed and left without hope

What do I love and treasure much
How could I love thee more
When you have sacrificed your all
But I still close the door

My friend thought it would be liberating
To be free from believing in this
But truly when does truth set free
And become more than rules on a list

When joy squeezes out the fear
And duty becomes a desire
When selfishness becomes Godís love
And we persevere though we tire

Such great joy it must be
To replace such great fear
And till the fear is fading
And till only the Lord we hold dear

It will be difficult to let go
Of everything I live by
To change what my heart wants
And believe that fear is a lie

But I pray that Heíll lead me
And with joy drive out my fear
And change my heart to know
That only Him I could hold dear
