the world within me

Chapter 96
Eternal Suicide

Hurting more than a grieving soul
A sorrow bound beyond death
To know a loved one has gone to hell
No redemption could be left

And yet itís said when death has lost
Itís last sting where there is hope
By saving grace to be received
This kind of pain to cope

This searing grief this taunting feeling
Goes beyond distractions
Minute situations and pursuit of more
Temporal and insignificance

It is not the same as seeing death
And knowing the pain involved
For hope would hold all alive
And death itself dissolved

To know itís over for someone else
Someone so close yet far
The distance from an unseen width
Beyond the furthest star

Itís a pain wherein lies
No forgiving power
No hope no future but an eternity
Of bitterness so sour

To live and have this knowledge
Would only bring tears unending
Thereís nothing left to begin with
No use of all regretting
