Chapter 84
Take care.

Ethan

My dad helped me with my baggage, and some boxes that had my precious things such as picture frames inside it. I was all set to go, my mom was outside too, counting my baggage just to make sure I won't be forgetting anything.

I haven't seen Lexi get out of her room all morning, and I guess I got over the fact that she probably won't bother saying goodbye.

But before I got on my truck to leave, I saw her get out of the house. There was something around her neck, the tiny heart pendant was shining against the early morning sunshine. She walked up behind my mom and dad, she watched as our parents bid and kissed me goodbye. I stared at her, and she just stared back. She clutched the necklace I gave her, so tight that I thought she was going to pull it off and throw it right on my face. But she never did.

She came up to me and leaned her head on my chest, she didn't hug me at all, her hand was still clutched around the necklace. I hugged her either way.

I turned her around, hiding her away from mom and dad's view.

I quickly tipped her chin so she would look up at me, grabbed her face and kissed her lips.

The look on her face was priceless, and she looked at me like I did something crazy.

I let go of her with a smile, and said, "Take care."
