Chapter 83
Lexi's pink towel

I could hear the birds chirping, and the sunlight that peeped through my windows made my eyes hurt. I knew I had to make my last minute baggage checking before i go, just to make sure I've packed all the things I needed to pack. I got up and took the little box near my bedside table, hoping that Lexi would still be asleep and she'll be finding my little goodbye gift outside her doorstep when she wakes up.

I was feeling nostalgic, and I knew I had to shower off my nostalgia so I don't start crying my eyeballs off so early in the morning.

I got out of my room and left my little box on Lexi's doorstep. The house was still quiet so I guessed that everyone else was still asleep.

I got into the shower, letting the warm water soak my whole body.

Memories washed through me, images of Lexi's beautiful smile were flooding through my head as if it was just a brand new memory. To make things worse, the warmth of the water reminded me of her lips, her touch, the way her body feels against mine. I slammed my back against the wall, pulled on my hair until it badly hurt, and let my tears trickle down my cheek along with the water.

After minutes of drowning myself in my last minute of misery, I turned the shower off and dried myself up with my towel.

Lexi's pink towel was next to mine, but since I'd be moving out, I moved her towel to the middle, giving her my towel space.

I smiled at the little thing that I did. But nevertheless, I knew I was doing the right thing.
