Chapter 73
Your sister is very proud of you too.

When I got out of my room after half an hour of trying to get my hair perfectly combed, and my tie properly hanging around my neck-- feeling like its a noose, I could hear everyone talking downstairs. And If I was sure enough, I was still hearing Irvine's voice as he talked to my parents and Lexi. I guess I have to deal with that guy's presence more and more now.

I walked down the stairs, and immediately, it was Lexi that I had my eyes on. She was wearing a baby pink dress that hung tightly around her perfect body. It was so skimpy that it showed her long flawless legs. I thought she'd be putting on tons of make up for the ceremony, but all I could see was her natural beauty underneath a few dabs of make up and lipgloss. She was so beautiful, and I couldn't get myself to look away.

"Ethan." Irvine called out to me, and I had to look back at him. He stared daggers at me, with a one sided smile that's probably warning me to get my eyes off his soon to be girlfriend.

I nodded, and I didn't know if I did that to apologize, or to affirm my said defeat.

My mom came rushing at me, fixing my tie as if I didn't already try to make it look so perfect for almost 10 minutes. "We're so proud of you, dear." She said with a smile that was accompanied by eyes that were glossy with tears. "Your sister is very proud of you too." I flinched.

Sure... Lexi must be so proud, huh.
